Co-lead section at a CARLI open house hosted by Northeastern Illinois University (March, 2011).
- Worked with the archivist to prioritize manuscript collections that needed processing or reorganization.
- Processed and organized materials following specific guidelines and procedures while creating and maintaining accurate finding aids.
- Implemented preservation techniques appropriate to an archival setting.
Planned and hosted several events a year focused on incorporating and using technology in libraries.
I started using the content management system Omeka to manage a small collection of digitized family photos. This represents my earliest attempts at website design and hosting, digitization and file management, and metadata. I will imagine this will be a constant work in process but I’m also irrationally proud of it.
I call the site Greenlock – the name of my maternal grandfather’s farm.
